At Culture Xplorers, we insist on being not only responsible travelers, but on making a positive impact on the communities with which we come into contact. The non-profit Culture Xplorers (CX) Foundation was created in 2007 with the goal of fostering the sustainability of local culture in indigenous communities worldwide. Our positive impact partnerships focus on sustaining endangered traditions, strengthening education, fostering community-based travel and breaking the cycle of poverty through the support of comprehensive micro-loan and education programs.

Who’s not a fan of hand-roasted craft coffees? We certainly are! So, when a chat with a local favorite Kansas City roaster turned into an opportunity to create a signature Culture Xplorers coffee (with a donation made to the CX Foundation for each pound sold), we were immediately hooked!
After various tastings and tweaking with Broadway Roasting Company, our Inspiration Blend is ready to go! In addition to diving into some raucously good coffee, this creative collaboration will help foster the sustainability of local culture in Guatemala, Peru and Mexico.

Broadway Roasting Company, established 1998, has grown and evolved over the years and currently operates out of the former Westport Fire Station at 4012 Washington, just one block north of Broadway Cafe in Kansas City
Broadway Roasting Co. sells fresh-roasted coffee by the pound, and each bag is marked with the roast date. Customers can stop in and see Head Roaster, Brian Phillips, roasting beans on the Diedrich IR-40 drum roaster. See the time and care to develop each roast below!
